I Wish I Had Taken Better Care of My Skin

For the longest time, I thought that I would love to keep my face natural without applying any good creams. For the longest time, I never understood the importance of Sunscreen . All I ever wanted was to live a good life, enjoying whatever comes my way. I never realized that taking care of our skin is a necessity. I rarely used any good products on my face and until the time the big dark pigmentation appeared on my face and now it is almost like a permanent identity of mine.  I never realized how much impacts that bad skin can do to our confidence. The dark pigmentation started appearing bit by bit during my college days and it became worse day by day. After my college, I became pregnant and people said, it will fade after the baby is delivered but only I knew that it has became almost like a permanent. It keep getting bigger and bigger and it really hampered my self confidence. Every time, I see girls with such glassy and clear skin, I wondered why I never took are of my ski...

Good leadership

In a book Dawa, the stray dog by a Bhutanese author, there is a reflection on human beings who cannot be trusted. Growing up, one of my favourite thoughts has been that one. The diversity of people can make us both win and lose in life. Perhaps one lesson I have learned is that if we do not guard our intentions carefully, people may take advantage of them. Becoming too friendly with people can also hurt us in the end. While we choose trust and peace, others may sometimes take advantage of that trust and respond with betrayal.  Leadership is much the same. Just as people are different, leaders come in many forms. Some possess a powerful presence and command respect simply through their aura, while others may have little presence at all, even with the face of Yama, the god of Death. I believe true leadership lies somewhere between kindness and firmness. Being approachable does not mean being permissive, and being flexible does not mean allowing people to cross boundaries. Trus...

Self love, self decision and self respect

Too many cooks spoil food. Too many carpenters can spoil a house and too many opinions can spoil a person. In life, everything that goes beyond limit is just not good. If we take just too much of what others have to say about us, we are losing our validity to others.  We can ask people for their opinions but ultimately, we have to decide only what is in our best interest. Only by being in the best interest of yourselves, we will win in life. The moment we leave our validity to others, nothing will feel right, nothing will feel enough and nothing will feel meaningful.  Even the simplest tasks can begin to look complicated when we constantly seek opinions from others. Something that was once so straightforward suddenly feels vast, confusing and beyond our ability to handle. Sometimes, all we need is to trust ourselves and take the first step.  If you have set your mind on pursuing a degree, it is high time, you have to work towards achieving that, nobody will come ch...

Protect your peace, talk less than necessary

Committing myself to talk what is necessary, not my impulsive thoughts.   I don't want to be disappointed JUST because I TALKED. Something that life constantly teaches me is to be careful with what I share with others. What we share now is always used as a weapon by others to sabotage us in the end and by then there is nothing we can do. We have to surrender because we gave the evidence ourself that defending will be too late.  The most important part is that, what we share as something positive might be understood as something negative because we are all different from  each other and everyone has their own views of us. Just like we don't mean the same to everyone, our opinions, our suggestions or our ideas don't mean the same to everyone. Some might think its good, some think its bad but some might take it to the best but many will hear what they want to hear and interpret or articulate in their own way.  Sometimes, the very best thing in life is to prove wit...

Raising Children in the Age of Smartphones.

What I Learned from The Anxious Generation I have always been the kind of person who rarely buys books. During college, I hardly ever purchased books or borrowed them directly from the library. Instead, I would read the books my friends had bought or borrowed. Perhaps, I was simply used to finding books through people around me rather than investing in them myself. Recently, however, I decided to change that habit. I thought I should invest a little in myself and buy some good books that I could read at my own pace.  One day, I went to a bookstore alone,  looking around and wondering which book I should buy. I had no particular title in mind. Then I came across The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt. Something about the cover immediately caught my attention. I became curious about what the book was about and felt an urge to read it. I paid a good amount of money for the book, hoping that it would teach me something meaningful or perhaps even inspire some changes in my own l...

Important Life Lessons Everyone Should Learn About Happiness and Peace

Life Lessons I Learned Through Life's Ups and Downs Life has a way of moving forward, whether we are ready for it or not. Everything can change in the blink of an eye, and this reality applies to everyone. Regardless of our fame, wealth, status, or achievements, I have seen many people who are still unhappy and dissatisfied with life. This made me realize that contentment does not come from material success alone. It comes from within. It depends on how we choose to see life and respond to the challenges it brings. One thing I have learned is that everyone is carrying a burden we know nothing about. We often assume that the people we see smiling are living their best lives. Social media and outward appearances can make life seem perfect, but behind those smiles are struggles that many choose to keep private. Most people continue living their lives without making their pain obvious to others. Listening to the stories of people around me has made me realize that our struggles are m...
